I once used a weapon like that, but I found that if the claws encountered any resistance it could cause it to break your fingers. If you want some good advice on a hand to hand weapon than I suggest you get an ASP either a 16 or 21 inch. The 16 inch can easily fit into a jean pocket but if you put a 21 inch ASP in a jean pocket you run the risk of someone saying to you “is that a gun in you pocket, or are you just pleased to see me?” to which you have to reply “No, its an ASP.”

Interesting. Back when I was interested in body modification, and I’m not talking about piercing I had a similar idea but I looked at the problem and found out that the only way to attach any type of device to the hand would be to attach it to the Metacarpals bones. But this arrangement would not be practical because these bones would not survive the stress put on them by any impact to the blade. But there is an even greater problem in having an external metal device fitted to a bone and that is every single vibration from the blade is sent into the bone, and this hurts.
But anyway, I’ve all ways wondered if there were other Mewtwo fans out there that collect weapons. So what types do you collect?

I collect slingshots. It's also fun to imagine ways to defend youself if you got attacked while walking to school/bus/store/etc. I find CD players, CDs, and headphones with extremely long wires to be great self defense items.

The unliklier it is the better it is. You can for example severly beat someone up whit a paper magazine, or damage someone eye using your shoe ties. And remember that if someone attacks you they throw the rules out of the window, go for anything that secures your victory. Biting, clawing and kneeling is only 'tabooed' cause not alot of ppl can fend it off, use that. But never try to kill anyone, only try to prevent yourself from geting killed.

I own a Katana (of my own design) and Kit Rae's version of the Sword of Light, which is what I use for the character in my story.

If you are ever attacked and you are unarmed the primary targets are the eyes, the nose, Xiphoid process and the Ball. If you are armed with a bladed knife use the knife to attack and the other hand to defend, use the knife in a swiping action and if the chance arises stab, primary targets are the soft tissue where there tendons, arteries and organs like the throat, wrist, stomach and the groin area. If you are armed with a long sharp slender bladed weapon like a flick knife that dose not have a blade the primary targets are any where there is an organ. Remember a thin sharp tipped knife will have no problem in penetrating the rib cage, if you hit a rib or the sternum than the knife will be deflected through the gap between the ribs. Remember the heart is located on your left hand side near your nipple. But the best way to survive a knife fight is not to get in one. The knife is a weapon that takes a lot of practice to know how to use it right. The best defensive weapons are ASPs because they have a longer reach than knives, mace spray this has a range of about 12feet, don’t use pepper spray its crap, stun guns are good because you only need to touch your attacker with it and they go down, also they are very intimidating because of the sound they make. But the best defensive weapon you can have is a pistol.

Meh, I have two Battleships parked up, tried to get more but got a warning from the traffic wardens, was blocking the roads and country side and cities. :P

Sometimes you are forced to face the problem I do. Namely, things are illegal, so you get arrested for carrying mace, pepper spray, stun guns, ASPs, guns not in locked carry cases with trigger locks, or blades disguised as other items.
When this happens, you have to think of things you can use as weapons without others knowing this. Like a bundle of keys, especially on a rope/string, can be used like a rope-dart (wushu weapon), a kubotan, or just some pepper in your pocket, and particularly, my favourite, my steel fighting fan. Looke like a normal fan, but it weighs a ton and you could probably crack someone's skull with it. Plus, it's about 65cm accross, so you've got range.
Of course, my favourite is the katana, which I don't have, and unfortunately, it has to be wrapped up so it's not easily accessible. not to mention you can only carry it to and from training. But the point remains that no-one armed with anything less than a pistol will even attempt to contend with a katana.

As my dad always says "things are only illegal if you get court with them". But when I was not as paranoid as I am now I used to carry around in my pocket a piece of string and a very large steel nut, I think it was a M30. But I never had to use that particular weapon but if I had I don't think the person on the receiving end would have never got up.

I say learn martial arts, with and without weapons. If a guy tries to knife you, twist his arm, put him in a lock, it he tries to fidget, twist more, call the cops.
