is there any regulation concerning the split up of the evening-group for presentations on SAT and SUN?
The presentation order is based on when you suggested your topics (i.e. whoever sent/stated their topics earlier has the chance to present earlier). I'll put out a list soon.
Handout again
Hi!
I have a problem concerning the handout again. I started creating it, but it sounds just like a summary of the Griffin/Ebert chapter.
When using examples (main part of my presentation) it's much longer than one page.
Do you have any hint?
Re: Infos zur mündlichen Englisch-AP 2006Sorry I just saw this now. I had the FIRST presentations over the weekend and haven't logged in for the past three days.
Concerning your question: Is there any way you could summarize each summary with just a few keywords? That way, the audience would remember the example subsequently and the handout still wouldn't be too long. If this type of summary is not possible, then stick with the theory, even if it sounds a bit like G/E.
All in all, don't worry about the handout TOO much. It's really just a tool to help your audience skim through what is most important concerning your presentation. You don't need to go into any great level of detail.
To keep you bussy (sorry) I have just a few more questions: Should it be a very formal presentation or "just" a well prepared one? = Do I talk to "friends" or to businessmen/women?
Does the audience know the exact title of my presentation before I start? In my case it would be better if not, because of the way I would like to start. Is this possible?
Do I have to put the bibliography on the handout or on an extra sheet?
Re: Thank youUnless we have a relationship I'm unaware of, I'm assuming you want to keep me 'busy' rather than 'bussi', so here are my answers!
1) Both variants are alright. If I were presenting, I'd treat the audience as fellow students, but with the level of respect I'd give businesspeople.
2) Absolutely no problem. Normally, the audience will be aware of the topic/title beforehand, but if there's a valid reason for confidentiality, then I won't announce it in advance.
3) There's no strict rule for this (so long as the audience is informed about the sources in writing), but you'd save paper by including it directly in the handout.
