The report deals with the topic of informal organizations and grapevines. Firstly, the author focuses on the importance of informal organizations as those are sometimes even more powerful than the formal ones. In particular, elements of informal organizations are informal groups and the organizational grapevine. The latter is an informal communication network within a company which orally passes along information. Hence, information often becomes distorted. However, managers can use informal organizations by controlling or influencing the circulating information. Therefore those organizations can be an important asset of a company.

Sorry, SchwarzM!

Usually informal organisations coexist with formal organisations within a company, because wherever people work together, groups are formed. As the group finding process does not follow the existing organisational structures, the structure of an informal organisation is more or less dependent on mutual sympathy and other personal criteria. Considering the importance of informal organisations (e.g. rumors are spread, information is exchanged quickly, alliances are established, etc.), it's always necessary for the management to monitor the ongoing development of informal structures if it wishes to be successful in the long run. Finally, an organisational grapevine is the result of informal organisations and it allows information to pass through an organisation in a form that cannot be controlled by the management.

1) Nach "coexist" kommt immer ein "with"
2)
"As the group finding process does not follow the existing organisational structures it is more or less dependent of sympathy and other personal criteria which informal organisation is built up."
Hier könnte man einfach splitten: "The group finding process does not follow existing organisational structures. Therefore (i.e. DESHALB), an informal organisation is more or less dependent on sympathy and other personal criteria.

3) "for being successful in the long run" ist immer "in order to be successful in the long run".

The report deals with the questions what is an informal organization and what means grapevine in this context? To start with, an informal organization occurs in a company next to the formal organization. In particular, it includes all organizational elements of a company that are not planned or implemented by the management.
In regards to this it is important to know that there are advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, the company could benefit from this because it contributes to implement corporate culture and to pass on important company information. On the other hand, when wrong information is spread out, people are confused and believe in this.
There are informal groups that communicate via organizational "grapevines". In order to eliminate all misunderstandings, grapevine is an informal communication network that runs through an organization.
In order to get along with informal organizations, managers start to apply methods such as intrapreneuring.

The report deals with the importance of informal organization and in this context it also focuses on the term grapevine. First of all, most of the discussion in Griffin/Ebert has focused on formal structure, however, all organisations also have a second dimension, namely the informal organization. Informal organization is a kind of network among employees that is often more important than it's authority structure. As such information is typically passed on orally, this information often becomes distorted. Finally, this process is called grapevine and refers to a network that runs through the whole organization.

The report focuses on informal organisation and grapevine.
Firstly there are informal organisations which are daily discussion among the employees. Secondly the author mentions grapevine which is an oral flow of information and can’t be controlled easily by the managers. Therefore it can be a disadvantage as distorted information can cause troubles within the company. Managers can on the one hand use the grapevine to sound out the employee’s reactions to new ideas and on the other hand to improve his decision making process. These should be mentioned as disadvantages..

This report deals with informal organization, especially organizational grapevine. Griffin/Ebert has focused on the organization's formal structure which is the company's official arrangement of jobs and job relationships. According to Griffin/Ebert, all organizations have another dimension, namly an informal organization. The author explains informal organization as a network of everyday social interactions among comapny employees. In regard to this, it is essential to note that informal organization is unrelated to the firm's formal authority structure.
In conclusion, there are informal groups that comunicate via an organizational "grapevines". These are informal communication networks that run through an organization.

Before, the author hints at the enormous importance of informal organization she gives the readers an explanation what an informal organization is. According to Griffin/Ebert it is a network of everyday social interactings among company employees and this network is not related to the firm´s formal authority structure. To put it in other words an informal organization includes all organizatinal elements of a company that were not specially planned and implemented by management. To the author`s mind this form of organization could be very beneficial for a company if it helps to implement corporate culture and to pass on important company information. However, you should be aware of the fact that it could also be harmful for a company if it is primarily used to spread gossip.
Furthermore she mentions one of the two important elements in most informal organizational: grapevine.
It is an informal communication network that can run through an entire organization. In order to improve productivity, some organtiosations encourage this informal network.

The report deals with the questions of what an informal organization is and what the term 'grapevine' means in this context? To start with, an informal organization occurs in a company alongside the formal organization. In particular, it includes all organizational elements of a company that are not planned or implemented by the management.
In regards to this, it is important to know that there are advantages and disadvantages. On the one hand, the company could benefit from an informal organisation because it could contribute to promoting corporate culture and to disseminating important company information. On the other hand, if false information were to be disseminated, people would become confused and would often believe it.
There are informal groups that communicate via organizational "grapevines". In order to eliminate all misunderstandings, this term will be defined. An organizational grapevine is an informal communication network that runs through an organization.
In order to manage the risk involved with informal organizations, managers have started to apply methods such as intrapreneuring.

1) Ganz wichtig!

D.h. "... could benefit because it contributes" wird zu "... could benefit because it could contribute"

Abkürfung für "it is";) ,wo "its" (d.h. "dessen";) stehen sollte.

Ausgezeichnet.
Da sollte nach "before" dann kein Komma stehen.

2) "she mentions that..." passt hier nicht. "She" kannst Du schon gar nicht verwenden, wil Dein voriger Satz um "you" geht- da müsstest Du wieder mit "the report/author" beginnen.
Now, the report will address one of the two..."

One of the issues Griffin/Ebert deals with in the Marketing area is utility. First of all, utiliy is the ability of a product to satisfy a human want or need. To better understand this definition let us have a look on the four kinds of utility which marketing strives to. Firstly, time utility which means that products are available when customers want them. Secondly, place utility provides the customers with the products where they can conveniently purchase them. Furthermore, ownership utility is provided by the convenient transfer of ownership from store to customer. Finally, by turning raw materials into finished products the customer experiences form utility. To conclude we can say, that marketing plays an important role in all four areas.

According to Griffin/Ebert the term utility is split up into four kinds, namely time, place, ownership and form utility. First of all, the author explains what is ment by utility. To put that in other words, utility is the ability of a product to satisfy a human want or need. As mentioned before, there are four kinds of utility at which the author will take a look at now. Firstly, time utility refers to the availability of products when consumers want them. Secondly, place utility makes products available where consumers can easily purchase them. Furthermore, a product provides ownership utility by conveniently transferring ownership from store to customer. Fourthly, as it is possible to turn raw materials into finished goods, the latter one creates form utility.

Re: Practicing Reporting Phrases March-April 2006
According to Griffin/Ebert there are four types of utility that you have to consider to create a product's value. Specifically, these kinds are time, place, ownership and form utility.
First of all, the author explains the term utility. In particular, it is a product's ability to satisfy a human want.
As mentioned above, time is a form of utility. In this context it is important to know that the products should be available when consumers want them. Furthermore, place, which means that you should make products available where consumers want them, is another type of utility. You should not neglect ownership utility, where you have to consider that you have to allow consumers to own products. In closing, I would like to mention form utility which contributes to the product's value too. In detail, this is the process of turning raw materials into goods or performing services.
