Everything with a few exceptions starts with me. I write the Lyrics and melodies and maybe a gutar part or two. Then i take that melodies, lyrics and whatever ideas I have for the guitar parts to the guitar player and figure out the guitar together. Then once we have the parts, as a band we figure out how it starts, how the middle goes, how everything connects, how fast it is, how it ends and that sort of thing. I have written every word and every lyrical plot that BLAZED has ever done. It may seem a bit one sided, but that's why I started the band, I had a certain sound in my head and I needed control to get it right.

However, Ben in particular's style of playing is a heavy influence on the music, sometimes it goes somewhere I didn't expect it to, because of the choice he makes with the beats. Same goes sometimes for OZ or now Mike.

AND on occassion if OZ brings me a guitar part that I like that fits with the music style of BLAZED, I'll write lyrics and melody to HIS song. Make It Hurt began as something that OZ and Kris were playing around with, that I liked. After Kris died I rewrote the verses and dedicated it to him.
